A former Echols County Sheriff’s Office employee, Anna Altobello, is facing multiple charges, including stalking and misuse of department technology, for allegedly using Flock Safety accounts to track individuals for personal reasons. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation initiated an investigation after the sheriff reported Altobello accessed license plate data outside of law enforcement duties multiple times. The charges include eight counts of misusing license plate data, stalking, stalking involving family violence, and violating her oath of office. The GBI anticipates further charges as the investigation progresses and requested documents are received. Altobello was arrested and booked into the Lowndes County Jail.
